ਤਿੰਨ ਪੜਾਵ: ਪਛਤਾਵਾ, ਦਰਦ ਤੇ ਸਮਝ (Three Stages: Regret, Pain, and Understanding)

ਜ਼ਿੰਦਗ਼ੀ ਵਲੋਂ ਸੀ ਇਹ ਪਹਿਲਾ ਤੇ ਆਖਰੀ ਮੌਕਾThis was the first and last chance life gave.

ਜਦੋਂ ਹੀਰੇ ਨੂੰ ਪਾਉਣਾ ਸੀ ਓਹਨਾ ਲਈ ਸੌਖਾWhen choosing the diamond should have been easy for them.

ਇਹੀ ਅਫਸੋਸ ਹੈ ਓਹਨਾ ਇਹ ਮੌਕਾ ਗਵਾ ਲਿਆThis is the regret, they let that chance slip away.

ਚਮਕ ਦੇ ਚਾਅ ਵਿਚ ਓਹਨਾ 'ਕੱਚ' ਨੂੰ ਪਾ ਲਿਆIn the craving for shine, they chose "glass" instead.

ਮੈਂ ਵੀ ਸਹੀ ਸਮੇ ਦੀ ਉਡੀਕ ਕਰਦਾ ਸਾਰਾ ਸਮਾਂ ਹੀ ਲੰਘਾ ਗਿਆI too kept waiting for the right time, and all my time passed by.

ਬਾਹਰੋਂ ਭਾਵੇ ਦਿਖਾਇਆ ਨਹੀਂ, ਪਿਆਰ ਦਿਲ ਤੋਂ ਤਾਂ ਪਾ ਲਿਆThough I did not show it outwardly, in my heart I had already loved them.

ਹਰ ਵੇਲੇ ਰਹਿੰਦੀ ਜੋ ਮੁਸਕਰਾਹਟ ਹੁਣ ਨਹੀਂ ਦਿਸੇਗੀThe smile that was always with me will not be seen now.

ਉਮਰ ਨਿਆਣੀ, ਤੇ ਸੱਟ ਡੂੰਗੀ ਖਾ ਗਿਆAt such a young age, I received this deep wound.

ਇਕ ਇਨਸਾਨ ਪਿੱਛੇ ਮੈਂ ਇਹਨਾਂ ਕਿਵੇਂ ਡੁੱਲ ਗਿਆHow did I fall this deeply for one person?

ਜੋ ਸੱਚਮੁੱਚ ਮੇਰੇ ਯਾਰ ਸੀ ਮੈਂ ਓਹਨਾ ਨੂੰ ਹੀ ਭੁੱਲ ਗਿਆI even forgot those who were truly my friends.

ਗੱਲ ਇਹ ਸਿਆਣੀ ਸ਼ੁਕਰ ਆ ਸਮਝ ਆ ਗਈThankfully, I came to understand this wiser truth.

ਤਾਹੀਓਂ ਮੁਸਕਾਨ ਤੇ ਕਿਸਮਤ ਦਾ ਪਾਸਾ ਮੇਰਾ ਖੁਲ ਗਿਆThat is why my smile returned, and fortune turned in my favor.
